Asia dominates Outdoor at Cannes

CANNES - While HBO and BBDO New York took home the Grand Prix, Asia dominated the Outdoor winners at the Cannes Lions 2008, with TBWA\Shanghai scoring China's first Gold Lion for its adidas' Olympic campaign.

Malaysia also had a night to remember with two agencies from the country snaring Gold Lions: BBDO/Proximity Malaysia, for its Chrysler Korea Jeep campaign, and Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia, on behalf of Silverfish Books.

Ogilvy & Mather Singapore, meanwhile, took home a Gold Lion for its FHM Magazine campaign. All told, Asia won 18 Lions, with work from Korea, India, China, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia all bringing back metal.
